- Camp Webpage: Camp Wisdom ● Map 1 • [1411-map-1 Map 2] ● Size: 371 acres.
- Facilities: 28 weekend camping sites, can drive to the campsite and then return the car to the parking lot. Latrines in campsites and restrooms in center of camp. Canoes available on Lake Shirley. Fishing. Swimming pool. Ranges for shooting sports. COPE course. Outdoor amphitheater seats 700.
- Camp Wisdom is only 11 miles from downtown Dallas, yet it has everything you would expect in a "summer camp" camp. Camp Wisdom does not host summer camp, so it is not closed to weekend camping in June and July. In winter when the sun goes down early, it is close.
- Even if you are not a Scout, there is usually one NTOA event per year at either Camp Wisdom or Camp James Ray. Work that meet into your schedule, and you can enjoy the facility for the day. On-site camping is often permitted in connection with NTOA meets even by those who are not affiliated with the property owner.
