- Park Website • Park Map • Trails Map • Dinosaur Tracks Map • Size: 1,524 acres.
- Facilities: Several remote campsites across the river and up the hill. Real dinosaur tracks. Near Fossil Rim Wildlife Preserve.
- This is a terrific short overnight backpacking trip when the weather is warm and the sun is still up when you make it into camp. It is great fun to get your feet wet crossing the river. The best views and breezes are at the campsites at the very top of the hill. The hill is steep, but the distance is short, and in my experience 12-13 year olds Scouts just learning to backpack have to work to make it up the hill, but not too hard. There is no water or restroom in the primitive camping area.
