- Car Camping. The park has the usual state park campsites in Juniper Cove and Walnut camping areas, each with a car slip, water faucet, electricity, fire ring, raised grill, picnic table, and nearby restrooms and showers. Note that Juniper Cove #5-6, 36-37 and Walnut Loop #41-44, #87-89 do NOT have water.
- Primitive Camping. The park has three primitive camping areas in Dogwood Canyon, Willow Cove, and Oak Point. Each primitive campsite has a fire ring, raised grill, picnic table, nearby water and nearby at least chemical toilets. Willow Grove and the southeast portion of Dogwood Canyon are within reasonable walking distance of restrooms with showers. All require a walk of up to 1/4 mile.
- Willow Grove Camping Area / Paved Trail. The only trail that can be used to access this camping area is a portion of the 2.8 mile Center Loop Trail, which is paved with concrete.
- Dogwood Canyon Camping Area. The Dogwood Canyon primitive camping area is located at the trailhead to the DORBA mountain biking trail system.
- DORBA Bike Trails. The park has more than 20 miles of unpaved DORBA-sponsored mountain biking trails. Both bikes and foot traffic are permitted on these trails. The Blue, Orange, and Pink Loops, and the first portion of the Dogwood Canyon Trail, are interconnecting and can be used to learn map and compass skills during a hike of about five miles.
- Dogwood Canyon Trail. This is a 2.6 mile long out-and-back trail with a small loop at the end. This trail repeatedly interconnects with the more extensive DORBA trail system, but it is jurisdictionally separate. This means that the Dogwood Canyon Trail remains open even when the other DORBA trails are closed due to muddy conditions.
- Group Pavilions. Two group pavilions are available to rent near the two parking areas at the southeast end of the park.
- Water Activities. The park is located on Lake Ray Roberts. The usual state park swimming, fishing, and boat ramp are available.
